i’m voting for mr. buffet solely off the other guy commenting about you ghosting him. something about that comment seems passive aggressive and a yellow flag?
haha, really loved reading this ! i vote for mr verdi solely on the fact that i think opera dates are ‘aesthetic’ and somehow reminiscent of jane austen novels
and i applaud the choice to reroute with mr. babitz. that 8pm “rule” will pop in so many aspects of dating/relating to each other that will require a smothering of the self. i also find that people like that are deeply suppressing things/fearful to the point of numbing or even creating a different reality
yeah, i think i do! in my experience, i’ve found that happens with ppl who have a sort of rule like that, rather than feeling what to engage with moment to moment. plus, can you really ever turn that off? or is it just a choice to not engage because it may (or may not) be too heavy? and do any of us really get to decide when certain or existential thoughts hit us?
Mr Buffet!! Meeting at a work event is very early twenties magical whimsical, opera you'd probs just sit there in silence lmao, and idk about you but I would feel SO out of place
I was going to go for Verdi at first because the newness of it all sounded exciting and the opera sounds beautiful (not sure what your opinion on opera is tho). But I view opera dates similarly to how I view movie dates in the early stages. It’ll be potentially uncomfortable to sit with someone in silence (for the most part) who you don’t know very well. I’m all for seeing something through so I vote for Buffet. He’s taken initiative in the past, and an event sounds more exciting... and easily escapable if ur not committed to hanging out with him all night.
Mr Verdi! purely because going to the opera reminds me of nicholas cage and cher’s opera date in moonstruck (1987) and he looked damn good in that suit and she, well, she was cher!
OK GUYS I told Mr. Verdi I can't go to the opera. Mr. Buffet it is. thank you for weighing in so quickly!!!
nice choice. operas are beautiful but painfully stiff. best to do with someone you know

u think it's that deep? maybe some people just like 2 turn their thinking off when chillin and others who are too curious don't
